Born in New York, raised in Wisconsin, and seasoned in Prague (CZ), Jen's passion and joy for life spills over into her coaching style. 

 

Returning to New York in 2011, Jen began her sales career as an associate at the YMCA of Greater New York. Little did she know that she’d return to working in the fitness industry as a coach, joining Equinox in January 2019.

 

Throughout her 8 year business development career with various companies, from nonprofit to advertising, Jen knew there was something that was missing in her work. In 2018 Jen decided to get certified and give personal training a go on top of her 9-5. It was then that she discovered providing her experience and expertise to guide people to feeling better, more confident and proud of their success was exactly what she was called to do. 

Jen's fitness journey really began in 2013 when she began running, going from 5k in July to her first 1/2 marathon in December. Since then she's completed 4 full marathons and dozens half marathons. In 2016 her discovery of strength training through boutique classes like Barry's Bootcamp and Fhitting Room changed everything as her body began to change, leading to a 60lb weight loss and a decrease in her running pace. They call it a journey for a reason!

Time and distance didn’t mean a thing when I asked my friend for help, for movement, for inspiration and for structure. Jen not only eased me into building new habits, she created a plan that felt achievable and held me accountable. I'm grateful to Jen for her expertise, ear, understanding about my lifestyle and helping get me back to feeling good again. 

Jen has been super supportive in my training and has provided me with guidance that has kept me on track with my goals. Because of Jen, I was able to complete my first marathon this weekend and she even ran a half on the same day in solidarity.
